The UK's Strongest Non-Caustic Caravan Cleaner

Caravan Cleaner · Black Streak Remover · Built-In Wax

Caravan Pro is a highly concentrated, non-caustic caravan cleaner manufactured in East Kilbride. 70%+ active content — one 5L bottle dilutes to 1:20 for a full season of washes, lifting black streaks, algae and road film without harming seals, decals or acrylic windows.

Applied with a handheld pump sprayer — 1:20 for a regular wash, up to 1:5 for black streaks.

Black Streak Removal

The Best Caravan Black Streak Remover

Black streaks below awning rails and window rubbers are rain-carried oxidation bonded to GRP — ordinary shampoo won't shift them. Caravan Pro at 1:5, two minutes' dwell and a soft brush — then rinse. Gone.

Black streak before and after — heavy streaks left, clean white panel right

Before and after: heavy black streak oxidation — gone after 2-minute dwell at 1:5.

Why Non-Caustic Matters

Caustic TFRs strip plasticisers from rubber seals, craze acrylic windows and streak aluminium. Caravan Pro uses bio-loop surfactants and orange oils — encapsulation chemistry, not chemical attack.

Caravan Pro™ Caravan & Motorhome Cleaner – Non-Caustic Black Streak Remover & Wash | 5L Concentrate

£24.99

Caravan Pro™ — Non-Caustic Caravan & Motorhome Cleaner

Caravan Pro is a highly concentrated, non-caustic caravan cleaner for caravans, motorhomes and campervans, manufactured by Mifica Products in East Kilbride. With an active content of over 70%, one 5L bottle dilutes up to 1:20 — enough for a full season of washes — and it lifts black streaks, algae, road film and diesel soot without harming a single seal, decal or acrylic window in the process.

What does the black streak problem actually look like?

The dark vertical runs you see streaking down from roof joints, awning rails and window rubbers aren't dirt in the ordinary sense. They're rain-carried oxidation from rubber seals and aluminium components, mixed with atmospheric carbon — and they bond to GRP and paint in a way that ordinary caravan shampoo leaves behind. Caravan Pro at 1:5 concentration, a couple of minutes' dwell time and a light scrub with a soft brush — then rinse. The streaks lift cleanly without aggressive scrubbing or a second product.

Why non-caustic matters on a caravan or motorhome

The caravan market has plenty of traffic film removers. Most of them are caustic — sodium hydroxide or metasilicate-based — which explains why you sometimes see reviews complaining about fading decals, crazed acrylic windows and cracked rubber seals after repeated use. Caustic pH strips the plasticisers from rubber over time and attacks aluminium trim. Caravan Pro replaces that chemistry entirely with bio-loop surfactants and orange oils that lift grime through encapsulation and emulsification, not chemical attack.

How to use — pressure washer method

  1. Dilute — add Caravan Pro to your machine's chemical feed at your preferred ratio: 1:20 for a regular wash, up to 1:5 for black streaks and heavy soiling.
  2. Apply — spray the vehicle at 1–2% chemical pickup for a light, even covering from bottom to top.
  3. Dwell — allow 1–2 minutes. For black streaks, agitate with a soft brush while the product is still wet.
  4. Rinse — switch off the chemical feed and rinse top to bottom with clean water. Keep the lance moving across seams and seals.

How to use — hand-wash method

  1. Dilute at 1:20 in a pump sprayer or wash bucket.
  2. Apply evenly over the panel, section by section. Allow 2 minutes' dwell.
  3. Agitate with a soft wash mitt or brush on any stubborn areas.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water from top to bottom.

Caravans, motorhomes, campervans & statics

The same 5L concentrate covers a touring caravan wash, works as a motorhome cleaner on larger GRP-panelled vehicles, and suits static caravan exteriors cleaned in situ — the hand-wash method above works where park rules or pressure washer access make a machine impractical. Works particularly well on the green algae that builds up on north-facing sides over winter.

Caravan Pro vs other caravan cleaners

The UK caravan cleaner market has a handful of well-known brands. Most are formulated to be safe — but relatively dilute, and none include built-in wax. Caravan Pro's 70%+ active content means it's one of the most concentrated non-caustic caravan cleaners available to buy direct in the UK, at a price that undercuts most alternatives per litre of ready-to-use solution.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe on decals, acrylic windows and seals?
Yes — confirmed safe on GRP and fibreglass panels, acrylic windows, decals and graphics, rubber seals, mastics and aluminium. No caustic agents, no solvents.

Will it remove black streaks?
Yes — use the 1:5 ratio, allow 2 minutes' dwell time, agitate with a soft brush and rinse. Repeat on stubborn areas.

Can I use it on my car or van as well?
Yes. Caravan Pro is traffic film remover chemistry at its core, so the same 5L bottle cleans the tow car, van or 4x4 at 1:20. You're not buying a single-use product.

How is it different from a standard TFR?
It's non-caustic — bio-loop surfactants and orange oils replace harsh alkalis. Safe for decals, seals and windows. Built-in wax leaves a protective layer. Specifically formulated for leisure vehicle surfaces, not just commercial fleet.

How often should I wash a caravan or motorhome?
Start of season, end of season, and after any long tow or heavy weather. Light and regular beats an annual battle with baked-on grime.

Does it work on static caravans?
Yes — the hand-wash method is well-suited to statics where access or park rules rule out a pressure washer. Works particularly well on the algae-heavy north-facing sides that statics develop over winter.
