Own Label, Private Label & Contract Manufacturing, Explained
These terms get used interchangeably, but they mean slightly different things — and it's worth knowing which one you actually need before you enquire:
Own Label
Your brand name and design go on a formula we manufacture — either one of ours, adapted to your spec, or one built from scratch for you.
Private Label
A formula tailored specifically to your requirements — dilution strength, fragrance, performance — manufactured exclusively for your business.
White Label
One of our existing, proven formulas, supplied with your branding and labelling applied — the fastest route to market.
Contract (toll) manufacturing: we manufacture, bottle and label to your specification and you handle the selling — you supply the brief and the branding, we supply the formulation, production, filling and labelling.

Lead times depend on the product type and how much development work is involved — a straightforward white-label order moves faster than a new formulation built from scratch. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we know what you need.
Artwork and testing are handled flexibly to suit each product — send us your label artwork in whatever format you have and we'll advise on any adjustments needed, and we'll agree a testing approach that fits the product before it goes into full production.
Bottling, Filling & Own-Label Design
Bottling, filling and label application all happen in-house at our East Kilbride facility — we don't outsource production to a third party, so lead times and quality control stay in our hands from formulation through to the finished, labelled product.
Pack sizes and fill tolerances are flexible and agreed per order to suit your product and volume — from small trial batches through to bulk trade quantities. Tell us what you need and we'll confirm what's achievable.
